BBQ Pork Marinade

Hot & spicy BBQ pork marinade recipe that adds great flavor to your barbecued pork chops dish.

  • 6 pork chops
  • 3 tbsp. shallots, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons hot bean paste
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3 tbsp rice wine
  • black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Sauté shallots in oil for 2 minutes (use medium pan).
  • Add the garlic and sauté 1 more minute.
  • Add the hot bean paste, cumin, orange juice, rice wine, pepper and salt to taste.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and chill.
  • Place pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag; pour chilled the BBQ pork marinade over chops and marinate in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours, turning occasionally to distribute marinade.
  • Remove pork chops from marinade, reserving marinade.
  • Pour reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil one minute then remove from heat.
  • Place pork chops in center of cooking grate. Grill for 15 - 20 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once halfway through grilling time and occasionally basting with marinade.
  • Barbecued pork chops can be Served with black beans and rice (if desired).
